A big problem residents have is the feeling of isolation. That the problems they encounter with Accent Housing are peculiar to them. That is not the case.
I have talked with many Accent residents across the country and you can be assured that the problems experienced on one estate occur on many others. It is only through a determination not to release information that Accent can maintain a facade of being genuinely concerned over residents welfare.
If repairs charges to Lambert Court are inflated by 81% you can be sure this practice occurs on other estates. The same individuals are responsible and the same accounting practices are undertaken.
Most importantly it is the people at the top end of management making policy decisions who are ultimately to blame. This is where the rot sets in.
I have been asked by particular residents to publish information concerning their own estates which I am happy to do.
This site will continue to be developed.
It will look at other issues residents have across the country and will attempt to publish all the information in one place. It is important information is available to everyone.

The 41-year-old claims his landlords were aware of the leak prior to him moving in and that he had to wait three months until he got his keys for his new flat because they were repairing the leak - he says the leak wasn't fixed and they had covered it up before allowing him to move in.

A PREGNANT woman said that the abundance of black mould in her social house is making her unwell - and she has to sleep on her sofa to avoid mould mites. Louisa May lives in a flat on Silverdale Street in Barrow owned by the housing association Accent Homes.
She said: "I'm seven to eight months pregnant, and since last November I’ve had nothing but ongoing issues with black mould. They keep coming and “washing it” but it keeps coming back within a week or two of it being cleaned.
"This has now resulted in mould mites in my bedroom, resulting in me staying on my living room sofa at 31 weeks pregnant. I’ve been waiting over two months for a contractor to come out and fix a heating ventilator to help vent the place out - as they believe that’s the issue - they told me I would only be waiting four weeks, and two to three months later I’m still sat here in the same conditions.
"The black mould is making me ill, and putting myself and my unborn daughter's health at serious risk. They’ve refused to refund me any rent and refused to give me any compensation as they’re “trying to resolve the matter."
A spokesperson from Accent Homes replied: "Accent takes reports of damp and mould very seriously, and we treat it accordingly.
